Steep eh? Look to the platform which is level.

Story: an Aboriginal elder didn't like the thought of 3 fair maidens falling for 3 blokes from another tribe - so he cast a spell turning them to stone - and would reverse the spell once the 3 men had died. Unfortunately, he died in a battle, and the 3 girls were damned to be forever cast in stone. Maybe the first Australian Trolls??

To give you an idea of the size.... look to the left side of the photo, you can see some very small people...

The platform on the left hand side gives some idea of just how steep the railway is - and this is at its "flattest point".... see also the "Signs" page for more info on this incredible attraction - the incline is 52 degrees from horizontal.
